Ludisia

The Ludisia belongs to the family of the orchids and finds its origin in Asia, mainly in Birma and Indonesia. This Jewel-Orchid is a real ground-plant and an ideal houseplant. The flowers of the Ludisia can be used as a cutting flowers, because the Ludisia thrive almost for two months. During Christmas-time the Ludisia is a wanted plant, by his splendid white flowers.

The Ludisia grows at his bests at room temperature. When the plant does not stand in direct sunlight the colour of leaves will remain intense.

Regular watering is the best for the Ludisia. Don't pour the water on the leaves of the plant, but on the soil in the pot. Take care that the plant does not gets too much water.

When the plant has thrived it is advised to cut the flower branch up to approximately 3.5 centimeter above the lowest leave, so that the form of the plant remains.
