Ficus

The Ficus is a plant with many appearances: trees, shrubs, climbing - and hangplants and evergreens. The types wich are used as a houseplant, are mainly comming from South - and Southeast Asia, Australia and several parts of Africa.

Because of the leathery leaves the Ficus is an easy plant. The Ficus lives long, because the leaves of the plant are evaporating only a little bit of water. Nevertheless the plant loves much water, and it is important to keep the soil wet. The ficus loves a temperature of 24 degrees Celsius.

Because of the leathery leaves the Ficus is resistant against dry air. But it is advised to sprinkle the plant regularly, to remove the dust of the leaves.
